This is the second piece in the ongoing ‘Tribute Series’, paying homage to some of the most iconic musicians/bands of all time. Born out of a deep admiration for the old-school alternative rock and pop scene, this piece honours David Bowie, a pioneer of his time who fearlessly defied the societal norms of his era through his ever-evolving personas and genre-hopping.
I aimed to capture this essence by using a simple composition paired with bold, vibrant colours and a pop-art poster style, applying layers of acrylic paint with a combination of brushes and palette knives.
