Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping is available locally (within South Africa) starting at R100 and is calculated at check-out. If you're situated in and around Cape Town and you'd like to collect your order directly, you may do so from Kirstenhof. Orders of R850 upwards qualify for free shipping.

Most deliveries will be fulfilled by The Courier Guy, and I will send you relevant information via email (tracking numbers etc.) once your order is placed. Kindly note that all courier services are external and you will need to use their platforms to track your parcel once out for delivery. If, however, you have any questions or need assistance you can get in touch with me via email at groovynotionart@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I will send the artwork to you in poster tube unframed (unless otherwise stated or prior arrangements have been made) via a courier service to avoid the risk of damage to the artwork during transit. Should you wish to frame your artwork, I usually suggest working with your local framers to choose the best fit for the piece and your style - they will be able to guide you through the process.

If the artwork comes on a block canvas/framed already then it will be shipped as is. Shipping will be calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the artwork.

Some helpful information to include in your message would be:

- The scope of the project
- The size of the artwork
- Your preferred medium
- Any reference images you have
- The timeline/deadline if applicable

Kindly note that although I love taking on new projects and commissions in different mediums and styles and try my best to accommodate all requests, I do reserve the right to decline a commission if I feel that the brief does not align with my artistic style, the deadline is unrealistic or I am at full capacity.

Each artwork is meticulously checked before it leaves my studio to ensure that it is of the highest quality and that there are no damages. All orders are carefully packaged to mitigate the risk of any damages taking place during transit. As this is the case, I do not currently offer returns on my art.

However, in the unlikely event that your order does arrive damaged in any way, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me via email at groovynotionart@gmail.com and I will be more than happy to arrange an exchange at no additional cost to you with regards to prints. Kindly include images of the damages in your email.

For original pieces, a refund, voucher or exchange can be arranged in the case of damages to the artwork upon arrival and will depend on the extent of the damages and artwork itself (especially relevant to skateboard originals). In this case you would be required to take pictures of the damages to the original piece and send them with your email so that they can be assessed before the exchange can take place.

Once the return request has been approved, the artwork in question will need to be returned to my studio prior to any new shipments or refunds being arranged. I will outline the return procedure and details of the courier via email.

Kindly note that the original skateboards may have slight variations in form due to the nature of the skateboards. The utmost care has been taken to capture all "imperfections"/ variations in form in the images of the listings. As such, images of any damages will need to be sent through via email and assessed before a return request can be approved.
